D.I.Y. Reusable Shopping Bag

Thursday, December 16, 2010

I love magic markers, pentel pens, fabric pens. They're so easy to use and a lot of fun to doodle with. If you have been reading my blog, you also know that I enjoy playing with my sewing machine.
This project was a combination of both. I bought plain canvas from fabric warehouse for P40 a yard. One night, while my friends and I were having a nightcap, I felt the need for some serious doodling.  Got out my daughter's pen set and my canvas and just started making random pictures. This is how it turned out.
Afterwards, I just sewed the edges together and attached the strap (which is the rainbow like thing you see at the top of the picture).
It is now my daughter's reusable shopping bag and it took me just under an hour to finish it.
Feel free to comment if you'd like a step by step for this one.

Happy morning! =)
