Luxe Grunge....What's Not To Love About MK????

Okay, I bet some of you already know why I'm posting this...you know who you guys are :)

I admit, this is more grunge than luxe grunge but I am a 90's baby and I grew up with grunge. The lifestyle, music, state of mind and of course, the fashion. As a purist, I am finding it difficult to dilute the grunge aesthetic with luxe. It makes me feel like a sell-out. But I will have to do it in some way.

I know Alexander Wang is like the latest luxe grunge guru but when I look at his pieces, they don't feel grunge to me at all. Grunge was the antithesis of fashion and to turn it into a runway thing is totally going against its essence. I know a lot of you will beg to disagree with me and I get your points of view. It's just that grunge is really close to my heart and I can feel Kurt Cobain's judging eye on me as I dress up for this thing.

Long story short, good luck to me! :P Honestly, I prefer bag lady to Alexander Wang or maybe because I just can't afford the latter. Oh dear, I guess you all can sense my confusion regarding this matter. It's a heart and mind decision. I never thought I could ever be this dramatic when it comes to fashion but mix music with it and I'm a big heap of confused slacker. :P
