La Senza Show-Off Launch + The Horror That Happened Afterwards

Monday, September 10, 2012

The day started out pretty normal, blistering hot even. A perfect prelude for the La Senza lingerie launch I was about to attend in Rockwell later. I had no idea what was coming in the next few hours but more on that later. Let's steam things up a bit first with La Senza's latest collection. The Show-Off!

The event started out with some sweet treats and hot tunes chruned out by an equally hot DJ clad in a La Senza bustier:

And then it was time for the show....

The Show Off! collection offers three sexy styles, the Balconnet, Plunge and Demi. With removable pads, multi-way straps in bright designs every girl loves, the Show Off! is especially designed to fit and flatter for maximum cleavage for that oomph Lingeristas love!

too hot to trot!

"Born to be wild,
We rock the party.
Our animal instincts take it beyond,
And we always show off.
Hey, don’t mention it- the pleasure is ours.
We are La Senza and we present to you the Fall Collection."

The latest collection from La Senza is filled with covetable yet affordable pieces that evey lingerista will fall head over heels in love for.

Nothing beats the sexy feeling of having hot underwear underneath all those layers of clothing and La Senza has everything you're currently lusting for + more. Stripper heels not included.

After checking out all the luxurious and soft loungewear at La Senza, all I really wanted was to get home quickly, try on what I picked out and snuggle in front of the TV.

However, Mandaluyong had other plans for us...

We got stuck near the circle on our way home and it took us over 3 hours to get from Rockwell to Greenhills. Unfreaking believable Mandaluyong! A little rain and almost immediately people get stranded en route?

The culprit is clear  (as seen in the photo below). Drainage was clogged with styrofoam and plastic bags filled with trash. Within a matter of minutes, the water rose to waist high around the Mandaluyong circle and those found in the Makati side couldn't cross through to get to San Juan.

It was craaaazy, add to the fact that once the water subsided a bit and we were able to pass through, the San Juan side was totally clear of flood. Goodness, we can't go on like this. I am finding the need to stash a flood emergency kit in the car which is not normal at all especially for someone who lives in the city like me. (big, big sigh of disappointment!)

Anyway, that's what I had to go through to get me a neon pink lace bra from the Show-Off collection. So you ask me, was it worth it? Yes :)

But I wouldn't go through it again, I'd probably call the store and wait another day when there's no chance of rain to pick it up.

By the way, the bras from the Show-Off collection come with gel inserts at the bottom to give you the right amount of lift! Awesome undies.

Good night, I need to de-stress now, turn on the AC and put some La Senze loungewear on.

zzzzzzzzz.......

Inggit! I love love love La Senza! Their double push up works wonders on a flat-chested woman like me! Haha. I cant wait to check out their new collection! Sorry about your mishap! :'( But I'm glad the neon pink bra (too sexy!! i want!) compensated for it! Stay safe!

I experienced this kind of flood last week. It was a Monday and heavens fucking help us with this flood!

On a different note, will we be expecting you to pose with the show off collection? I like the hot pink bra. Bet ko sya.
