Shoes for the common good of man was the theme set for our lunch with Quezon City vice mayor Joy Belmonte and the lovely women behind Sueno de Espadrilles at Borough in The Podium.

Sueno de Espadrilles, the only full-fledged all-espadrilles concept store in the country, recently teamed up with Quezon City Performing Arts for the benefit of under privileged children in their district.

QCPA is a home and haven mentored by passionate and commited artists Luther Perez, Tony Fabella and Eddie Elejar, where they help children realize that they each have extraordinary gifts to share.

The scholars are trained in methods of dance, voice and musical instruments where they learn the value of discipline, responsibility, perserverance, and hope.

The chance to perform and compete in prestigious venues, both local and abroad, equip these kids with a certain sense of self-worth, pride and  confidence that is vital in their journey to make it in the real world.

With the QCPA being an advocacy close to Joy Belmonte's heart, she enlisted the help of Sueno to source additional funding to help keep the program running in "Dance Of Hope".

By purchasing a pair of classic alpargata's, slingbacks, elasticos, mules and lace-up's, you will help these children pursue their dreams and continue performing around the world.

Sueno de Espadrilles' Dance of Hope gives back to the community by automatically donating a portion of the proceeds from all purchases of the shoe styles mentioned above.

With the wide variety of styles Sueno has to offer, don't you think it's time you give back too? :)

The Sueno de Espadrilles store at Podium offers a plethora of alpargata variations like dainty crocheted pairs, penny loafers, boat shoe inspired and booties.

There is an espadrille style for everyone! I couldn't resist trying on a few pairs...

I have my eyes on this heeled oxford style espadrille sandal which is super comfy with a non-slip sole. Perfect for doing errands in.

Visit Sueno de Espadrilles in Podium Mall to view their complete collection.

and twitter page for updates.
