What I Wore Today: Suesh

Tuesday, February 28, 2012

top - glamour studio, skater skirt - Sarah Tirona, shoes- Jessica Simpson Dany, bag CMG

I was one of four bloggers chosen by One Hyundai Club to attend a special make-up course at Suesh last weekend. This is what I wore.

The worskhop was such a lovely experience. I even received a certificate and the whole shebang which now gives me more confidence to actually experiment with different shades of eyeshadow and techniques. It's beginning to feel like an addiction itch and I've been spending my days scouring the net for a professional make-up brush set :P

I'll share some tips that I learned from my class last weekend plus a photo how-to and a Suesh virtual tour on my next post.

In the meantime...

Galaxy Nails - Laura Mercier Twilight Polish Review

Sunday, February 26, 2012

I recently received a bottle of Laura Mercier's limited edition nail polish in "Twilight" and I couldn't be more excited. I've been wanting a bottle of this since I saw a sneekpeak on Jeffrey Tasker's fingernails last year.
It is hard to accurately capture how vibrant and shimmery  it's color is through photographs but it is truly gorgeous in person.

A purple base with gold speckles which gives the impression of the night sky, hence the title, "Galaxy Nails".
Application - Laura Mercier's nail lacquers are fast drying polishes that are easy to apply. My nails were dry within 5 minutes of application. A dream come true since I always tend to botch up my nails even before leaving the nail salon! It's also quite tough and doesn't chip easily.

Overall, I would have to say that I definitely love it and it is probably one of my favorite polishes ever. Once applied, it makes your hands look really clean and pretty. I love polishes that have that effect. Some have the tendency to make hands look tired and dark but definitely not this one.

Laura Mercier Twilight Polish is available in all Laura Mercier boutiques and Rustan's Department Stores.

What I Wore Today: Beauty Bound

Saturday, February 25, 2012

Wearing: Protest olive parka, Pink Manila dotted shirt, Topshop shorts, Linea Italia boots, Mulberry Alexa, Roman Moon Laura Mercier lipstick

This is what I wore when I was "Beauty Bound" to Robinson's Galleria last week. I was suffering the entire week from chronic stomach pains, this day included, but I really wanted to go so I decided to rub on a ton of Kwan Loong Oil, bundle up and suck it in like the brave little soldier I am.

Glad to declare that the stomach pains are now gone due to a recently discovered supplement that I've been taking. What a relief! I was beginning to get really frightened cause I was having them the entire day. Needless to say, it was very uncomfortable. But that's a whole different topic which I will talk about more in a different post.

The Robinson's Beauty Bound Fair is still ongoing so hurry over and grab the best deals from your favorite Health & Beauty brands.

Also, been having a shoe dilemma, so if you're bored today, maybe you can help me decide? :)

That's all for now, I have to get ready for a Suesh event that I'm really excited about. You all have a great weekend! Thanks for reading.

Robinson's Beauty Bound

Robinson's Department Store is Beauty Bound this whole month of February!

Head on over and take advantage of the big sales and freebies that 19 of your favorite cosmetic and beauty brands have in store for you!
Some of the participating brands:

Me and the girls taking advantage of the sale:
check out the huge shopping bags...it's time to hoardddd!

Aside from being on sale, clients also get to try out the services that the participating brands have set up:
Get free makeovers, skin analysis and the like!
There's even a photobooth where you can get a free souvenir of the event:
Me and my shopping partner for the day, Ana.
We got so tired running from booth to booth, eager to try all the products, that after an hour or so,it was mandatory that we look for someplace to sit, stretch our legs and rejuvenate.

What better place than Chef Bruce's Lutong Hinirang?
Ana ordered the Malunngay Pesto with the grilled chicked served on the side. It's good. You wouldn;t have thought it was made with malunggay, tastes just like Pesto but without the "umay" factor.
I, of course ordered my favorite, The Calamansi Tuyo Pasta:
At first it was just the two of us cause we lost everyone in the shopping frenzy....
After a few minutes, we multiplied! :)

We all had a nice lunch that day with a lot of beauty loot to take home:
Every blogger needs to be "Photoready"!
Planning to return for some Maybelline mascara, most of them are on 30%- 50% off, the good ones too!
