Body Shop Sale!!!

Saturday, September 29, 2012

Toiletries are one of the safest, most practical and generally appreciated things you can give for either girls or guys during special occasions, specifically Christmas. When your list gets as long as mine, it's also one of the easiest to stock up on. So yesterday, me, Krissy, Ana, Paul and Martha got a headstart at The Body Shop Megamall where everything is on sale at unbelievably affordable prices!!!

Me thinks their "sale scheme" was specifically designed for Christmas shopping. Think 4 Body Butters for your best friend, sister, tita, and cousin, right??? Genius.

And while you're there being such a good samaritan shopping for your loved ones, give yourself a pat on the back and a treat by shopping for some make up! Most lipsticks and glosses are down to P200+ from P700+. Me and Ana got a pair of their famed lip and cheek tint for only P945 for a pair!

I couldn't resist an old favorite in all its jumbo-sized glory! Got myself a huge bottle of Olive Gel Douche for only P500 marked down from it's previous price of almost P900.

Their Olive line has always been a favorite of mine. I have really severe dry skin and I remember my mom constantly supplying me with their Olive dry oil mist back when I was still in college and even a few years after I had Nikola. It used to come in a glass bottle back then but now they are packaged in a more travel-friendly plastic spray bottle but still with that great smell that I can never seem to get over.

My Loot:

The Body Shop BB Cream, blush, lip and cheek tint, olive oil and peach shower gel

Hurry on over to your nearest Body Shop branch and take advantage of their MAJOR SALE!

Burgundy Pants and Sheer Booties

Thursday, September 27, 2012

whoops, awkward moment! :P

arm candy by Sarah Tirona

Triple neckpiece by Sarah Tirona

SM Parisian Sheer Booties

Whenever I attend fashion events, I always make it a point to wear the designer/brand as a way of showing respect. For this day, I had three events lined up. The Jessica Sanchez for Bench press con, the Rajo X SM Parisian/Milanos launch and a premier showing for The Perks Of Being A Wallflower (omg, such a great movie, you should definitely watch it. Not disappointing at all even if I read the book first, plus the soundtrack has a way of getting under your skin). So I decided to wear these burgundy pants that I purchased recently from Cotton On (bench) and sheer booties from SM Parisian. (I just wish my legs were looonger! or not as meaty :P no, I'm not anorexic. I just like the male pre-puberty body but I'm the total opposite). Why do we always covet what we don't have???

Also, I've been in the mood to excessorize lately and just pile it on like there's no tomorrow. I used to have an accessories line several years ago so I still have a bunch of materials lying around the house. DIY bug bit me a couple of days ago and I made everything I'm wearing in this post except for the stacked rings which are from Blessed Online. Thinking of releasing a capsule collection just to finish off all my leftover materials. What you think? You like? :)

outfit: marc jacobs dotted cardigan, cotton on burgundy skinnies, sm parisian sheer booties, sarah tirona accessories, nava shop ponyhair belt, blesson online stacked rings

special thanks again to Tracy for taking my photos.

RAJO for SM Parisian and Milanos 2012

Wednesday, September 26, 2012

World-class designer Rajo Laurel collaborates with SM homegrown footwear brands Parisian and Milanos to bring 2 exclusive collections that derives inspiration from the Japanese culture. Launched at the SMX Convention Center on 25 September 2012, the highly anticipated comeback of Rajo! for Parisian features adventurously stylish wedges, boots, flats, and heels for women while the premier Rajo! for Milanos collection introduces dapper casual and dress shoes for men.

“As a designer, the Japanese culture has always been a point of reference for me,” Rajo Laurel explained. “I am in love with the graphic qualities of their traditional garb, the intricate art of the obi, the deep romanticism associated with the kimono and of course the zen balance of the modern Japanese aesthetic.”

Love love love this latest collaboration between RAJO and SM. Fierceness overload. And it also seems like Rajo made a special effort to create a perfect pair to match every person's unique character and style. Since I'm part schizo, I've already fallen in love with oh...just about 5 or 6 pairs from the collection. It's gonna be diificult deciding which one gets to come home with me first. Goodness, I really need to call the carpenter to build me another shoe cabinet.

What's your fave?

Jessica Sanchez for Bench #GlobalBenchsetter

Yesterday afternoon at the Edsa Shangri-la Hotel Manila, Bench unveiled their latest Global Benchsetter, Jessica Sanchez, from American Idol Season 11.

Jessica looked charming and effortlessly stylish in her Bench outfit which consisted of the new "Music and Me" shirt which she matched with black skinny jeans also from Bench and killer boots.

Jessica also mentioned in her interview with Ginger Conejero what a relief it was to finally find jeans that fit her Asian frame perfectly. She said it was always a challenge shopping for clothes in the states due to her slight Filipina frame.

Zara Camouflage Jacket + Cap Toe Crocs

Tuesday, September 25, 2012

Never in a million years did I ever think that I'd hear those two brands mentioned together in a single sentence. But here you go, I just did. Crocs' Fall Collection for 2012 is tres chic and I am finding myself longing for another pair. They really are the most practical shoe for our kind of bipolar weather plus they are comfy as hell!

I wore this outfit last Saturday night for a casual drinking affair at our friend's house. It was raining the entire time and we'd have to step out into the garden to smoke. All my girlfriend's were envious of my Crocs. Such a strange scenario don't you think? If I declared that previous line without these photos to back me up you'd probably think I was cuckoo or something.

In case you missed it, you can check out their new collection here plus instructions on how to win a pair for yourself!

And since we're on the topic of shoes and giveaways, don't forget to check out my previous post. My friend Denise is giving away a pair of shoes of your choice from Shoe Etiquette. The mechanics are super easy. Good Luck!!!

Blue And Orange Boyfriend

Monday, September 24, 2012

Another casual outfit I wore to do a little bit of shopping in Megamall yesterday. Checked out the Cotton On store that just recently opened a couple of days ago and got me a few things. Their collection of colored skinnies are sooo hard to resist and price points aren't so bad, around P1599-P2000 depending on the style.

I really should go out more and hit the malls. I'm a bit of an agoraphobe. I don't really like crowded places so I rarely go out unless it's to an event. But the selection right now at the Women's department of SM Megamall's Dept Store makes me wanna suck it in and conquer the throng of people. So many pretty things, so little time and money....

Okay, back to the outfit. Decided to wear something comfortable so I put on my old reliable boyfriend jeans from American Eagle that I've had for a really long time but made me realize yesterday that I've lost a considerable amount of weight and most of my pants need altering. I had to wear a big belt like the one I'm wearing from Topman to keep them from slipping down my hips. I really don't mind this at all cause I like things hanging loose on my body. I can't stand skin-tight clothing. Added orange accessories like this pretty necklace that was a pasalubong for me from my sis-in-law a couple months back when she had a vacay with friends in Bangkok. Pulled it all together with these orange sandals from SM Parisian. Can't wait to check out Rajo's new line for Parisian tomorrow. Excitedddd! :)

It's Monday again folks. Back to reality (ugh!). Take it easy.
