If I was to choose a single accessory out of all the many choices out there, my number one pick would have to be a watch.
I almost feel naked without one.
And it is also the most practical of all.
Watches are also proof that practical doesn't always have to be boring.
It's funny how something so straight forward and tiny can pack so much personality into a square inch (or circle, if you may). Watches probably have the most diverse styles out of anything fashion related and kudos to the designers because I can't imagine how difficult it can get to design unique piece with just a few mix and match alterations of very standard components.
When it comes to personal preferences, I prefer the look of men's watches rather than their dainty ladies counterpart. Mens watches are just so much stronger and make more of an impact for me. Through the years (I have been collecting since early 2000), I have managed to amass quite a few but doesn't stop me from oggling at new offerings each season. Especially when so many affordable brands have been coming up with lust worthy timepieces lately.
Nowadays, you can get a pretty decent watch for around P5k/$100, sometimes, even less.
Here are some of my top picks:
For more dressed up affairs, these brands have some pretty great selections:
- Accurist
- Citizen
- Juicy Couture - really lusting over the rose gold piece!
- Sekonda - (pretty and super affordable, think 1-2K!!!)
- and an old favorite of mine, Skagen
For everyday casual wear, the choices are almost endless but here's a few that are not only affordable but will last you through the years. Some true classics befitting all your different personalities from the more conservative to the modern day hippie.
- Ice Watch
- Citizen
- Guess
- Kahuna (also very affordable at around 1-2K)
- Boss Orange
- Skagen
If you're the type who's not really into watches, there are handbags! <3 div="div">3>
Probably my second favorite. Mine always have to be neat, with clean lines and a straightforwad design, nothing too frilly. I was in love with the idea of satchels but owning one made me realize that they weren't exactly the easiest bags for me to carry around, I found them a little too hard, boxy and time consuming to open.
And then I discovered the Fossil Vintage Revival Hand Bag which for me is like a happy medium between a traditional school satchel and a beat up postman bag. Price isn't so bad either, around P7k for a real genuine leather bag. I think I might be visiting Fossil more often because of these.
