tw steel: pilot your life

What do Venus Raj, Marvin Agustin, Rio dela Cruz, and Chieffy Caligdong have in common? They are living proof that no dream is unattainable when you have the right amount of drive and perseverance to back you up. Hailing from humble beginnings, these four icons of success managed to go against all odds to achieve and live their dreams proving that poverty is not a hindrance to great achievements.

Their stories are truly inspiring, from Venus Raj strutting her stuff on rice paddies, Marvin Augustin's stint as a mascot, Rio dela Cruz's runs for matriculation and a salesman of ice and water (even offering to take out the trash for money at times), and Chieffy Caligdog's drive to get over a life-altering injury. They rose from the ashes and made a conscious decision to turn their sob stories into triumphant tales of victory. These individuals are a testament of strength and tenacity which is precisely why T.W. Steel chose them to give tribute to them and bestow the Pilot Your Life" award.

Just like Venus, Marvin, Rio and Chieffy, T.W. Steel's CEO, Jordy Cobelen's further validates that no dream is too big to achieve. In a span of a few years, Jordy turned T.W. Steel into one of today's most stylish and recognizable watch brands. His age is a testament to his success. First time I saw him yesterday, I thought he was one of the models, not a C.E.O. I'm not quite sure exactly how old this eligible bachelor is, but I figure him to be in his 30s (sayang! parang James Bond pa naman dating. LOL).

Not to get too sidetracked on his looks, let's get back to his story. Jordy Cobelen's worked for a year in Germany gaining first-hand experience from jewelers and watch distributors. When he got back, he strated peddling his watches to friends and family members. This all happened just a few years ago and look at where he is now. There is nothing like a driven man to get your panties all in a twist, right? :P Add to the kilig factor, he is also an accomplished DJ and record label owner of JC Records. (enter collective sighs of admiration)

With strength, class and perseverance in mind, T.W. Steel created their "Pilot Collection" which make perfect "weekend watches" for the stylish and practical set. 24 models make up the collection which aim to build on the success of both the Lotus F1 Team Pilot and the limited edition swiss made Pilot. The Pilot Edition comes in both 45 and 48mm case sizes rendered in brushed steel, refined brush PVD rose gold-plated finish or sandblasted PVD titanium coated case with a protective layer.

Among a slew of other features, the numbers and hands on the watch face are clearly eligible even in the dark owing to the application of luminous material.

The secret to T.W. Steel's success is a winning combination of design quality and value for money. The brand can hold its own against more established and costly Swiss brands.

To further pay tribute and celebrate people who "Pilot Their Life". T.W. Steel is holding an exciting contest where they will grant one grand-prize winner the opportunity to realize his or her ambition such as finishing school, starting up a business, driving a racecar, becoming a fashion designer, helping a family through tough times - whatever it is the heart desires.
