wishlist: shopping for the season + tips

Saturday, June 15, 2013

The change in season has got me itching to shop for new clothes that are more weather appropriate. Still high at the top of my list are black and white ensembles which according to Harper's Bazaar is a trend you won't see fade anytime soon. And how can I blame the majority? I myself am addicted to the classy, sophisticated, minimalist pairing. Plus, you can never, ever go wrong with a shift in the same hues.

Aside from blacks, whites and LBD's, another trend trend I am growing quite fond of lately is the "sporty luxe look". It has such a street style, effortless chic look to it which I find truly irrisistable. I also love it's play on the juxtapostion of styles. A no-braniner way to pull this off is by pairing athletic-inspired sweatshirts with pencil skirts and high heels.

And lastly, when it comes to casual dressing, I am in love with skorts...especially in origami cuts and digital print shirts. They both have the ability to create memorable outfits without much effort involved.
