inside my enjoy 2013 vip kit +review

Thursday, January 31, 2013

As you probably already know, I have an ongoing Enjoy VIP kit giveaway as well as 2 others that are fashion related.

Early this morning, okay not early, sometime this morning, I checked the hits on my posts and realized that among the 3, my enjoy giveaway has the most views but the least entries.
Maybe because the mechanics are a little more complicated because of having to post a photo on Facebook? Or maybe because some of you are curious but don't really know if it actually works, if it's worth your time or just basically what's inside and how much you can really save.

Like I said, I really, really LOVED my 2012 Enjoy Kit and I equally love my 2013 too that's why I'm doing this. I don't really have to, it wasn't required of me by the PR company but as a blogger and sort of a public figure that some people look to for advice, I feel like I sort of have a responsibilty to do this. This is partly why I started the blog anyway, to share the things I like.

So anyway, I will let this photo speak for itself:

enjoy 2013 vip kit
These are some of the many Buy 1 Take 1 or Buy 2 Take 2 coupons inside the booklet. These are just the ones I tore off for immediate use. They really work, no strings attached, no minimum bill required. Just straight up 1 for 1 deals. Me and Dennis have saved so much money using these coupons.

You know if you're into the whole group buying thing, this is not very different, only cheaper. Imagine just paying half for all your meals out for only P1995/year? Plus, from experience, I found that Enjoy partner establishments are much more well- versed when it comes to the promos attached to the card unlike the group buying vouchers which sometimes give me quite a difficult time to avail. So far, I have not experienced any hassle at all with my Enjoy card.

I use my kit primarily for dining out but there are also lots of other perks available inside. From buy 1 take 1 hotel stays, free mani-peds, store discounts, even great deals on car repair services.

So guys, I strongly suggest you set aside the five minutes it takes (maybe even less) to join my Enjoy VIP kit giveaway. IT IS REALLY WORTH IT. There's still time. You have til Feb 7 to join. Good luck! :)

No, it's not some new duchess caught in a street style photo, it's me! hahaha, just kidding.
(yuck, I almost want to delete that little spiel but I can't think of an alternative to start this blog post with, sorry bear with me :P)

Don't get me wrong, I have no plans of taking on a fascinator as my latest accessory of choice. It was sent to me in the mail by SM Babies and it was mandatory that I wore it to the event a couple days ago.  I found it quite a challenge to think of something to pair it with because if there is one thing that is definitely not me, it is probably a fascinator. I find them a little bit too hoity-toity with matching arched eyebrows for my taste.

sm babies launch

Do you know why babies, not just human, but all species, are cute?
It's not a coincidence, they are scientifically built to be that way to avoid abandonment issues.  Ok, not really related but I thought I'd share anyway because cute is what we're solely concentrating on today and there is an abundance of cuteness in this post.

Because yesterday, I was at the formal launch of SM Babies at the Peninsula Conservatory and my, my, my did I have to use all the self control I could muster so I wouldn't go on a "pinching fat cheeks spree". It was like a consortium of the most adorable babies in the country all decked out in tiny and chic clothing. In other words, nakakagigil talaga.

In my opinon, it's really about time that SM joins in on the baby bandwagon. The moms of today are changing. Although puff sleeves, dresses with chest panel embroidery, smocking and little lace socks are still very much appreciated, they just won't cut it all the time anymore. Moms of today are always on the  look out for something new and different, which doesn't always translate to pink and frilly. Parents, myself included, enjoy dressing our kids like little mini me's and the last time I checked, it's been awhile since I last wore a poofy, cotton candy pink dress. So this is really great news and not just because of the obvious increase in variety but also because it's SM. We all know that when it's from SM, it's sure to be very reasonably priced.

So anyway, to celebrate the formal launch of SM Babies, a photo exhibit called "Special Moments" featuring the special bond between mommies and babies was shot by Pilar Tuason and put on display at the Conservatory. Model moms included several tv personalities, models, society women and even a blogger mom, Tin Dychiao of Manila Fashion Observer (yay, represent!) who posed with her adorable little boy, Xavi.

Here's some photos from the event, enjoy! :)

SM Babies for boys

adorable SM Babies clothes for girls

SM Babies Christening Gowns

The SM Babies team handpicked all the moms who participated in the exhibit. From actress Andi Eigenmann to radio darling Delamar Arias to former TV personality Nicole Hernandez-de los Angeles, “Special Moments” shows that all types of moms shop at SM, not only because SM has it all, but also because they believe in SM Babies.

The exhibit also included society moms Marta Araneta, Isabel Olondriz, Maia Martirez-Hing, and Grace Barbers-Baja, as well as sisters Emillie Montenegro-Yupangco and Rose Montenegro-Boonpongsa. Model Georgia Schulze-del Rosario, blogger Tin Dychiao, and make-up artist Angela Yeo, are also featured alongside designer Rosanna Ocampo-Rodriguez and Magazine Editor Juana Manahan-Yupangco.

prostyle fuwarie review

Friday, January 25, 2013

Something I learned back from when I was younger still stays true today.

Growing up, toys imported from Japan always seemed to look better and function better. Chocolates tasted, well, more chocolate-y and chips were just fabulous, remember crisp cake and chubby corn? A few of my childhood favorites.

I don't mean to sound anti-country or pro-Jap, but face it, there's some truth behind it right? I mean Kit Kat is Kit Kat but why does Kit Kat from Japan taste 100x better?

I think it stems from the Samurai way of thinking and how the Japanese will accept nothing but perfection.

Through the years, I've tried several Japanese beauty products and none have failed me yet. In fact, I almost always instantly fall in love and they end up part of my daily beauty routine.

I was gifted a couple of bottles of Prostyle Fuwarie by BeautyBox a few days ago. As is my ritual with most beauty products, I google them first before using and check other reviews online just to be safe.

No kidding, but ALL the reviews I came across weren't just positive or pwede na, they were RAVE reviews from women of all different nationalities.

I'm not exactly sure which category Prostyle Fuwaire fits in. It seems to me as if it is in a class of its own.

Prostyle Fuwarie sort of acts like a hairspray, argan oil, hair serum and hair sunblock (if there is such a thing) all in one nifty spray bottle except it's invisible and you don't feel like there's any product at all on your hair. Even if you happen to be trigger hapy and spray enormous amounts, it will still feel like your hair just came out of a shower. It's a miracle, I know. I don't know how they do it but they do and I'm just left amazed.

And by the way, it also protects your hair cuticles from the heat of hair styling tools, repairs it, and prevents hair breakage and hair discoloration from heat. Amazeballs talaga.

And it's also very easy to use. Just spray on your hair until it's slightly damp and style the way you usually do.

The result? My hair stayed perfect all day. It didn't change much from when I first left the house and it also had a lot more volume and shine. I heard it works the same way for curls, they stay on all day.

Anyway, I liked it so much the that I decided to go out and get a new haircut with full bangs just so I can use it to its full advantage. First time a product ever made me do that. Galing talaga, I swear.

You know what else it's great for? Days when you think you're just staying home so you get in the shower, get out and just let your hair air-dry since there weren't any plans for the day and then all of a sudden someone calls and you have to step out but you're left with either frizzy or limp, shapeless hair. No more hats or srunchies my friends. Just spray on some fuwarie, blow dry or iron and your good to go.

At P450/bottle, the verdict is obvious. It is definitely worth every penny and I highly, highly recommend it.

Prostyle Fuwarie comes in three variations, one for a straight and smooth hairstyle, another for curly and bouncy hair, and lastly, the one I now swear by, the airy bob variation.

Pick the bottle that's best for your hair at all Beauty Bar branches.

truth in numbers - avon anew

Have you heard about Avon's Anew Clinical Pro line Corrector with A-F33? If you're a beauty and skincare junkie, you probably have and been dying to get your hands on a bottle yourself. Well, good news, it's coming to our shores sooner than you think.

Why all the clamor?

Anew is touted to be Avon's fastest wrinkle fighter to date. It boastes of a Nobel Prize-winning formula that promises transformative results: faded wrinkles in just 7 days. And this is a formula that is exclusive to Avon, no other product can claim to have this same breakthrough formula.

A-F33 is considered to be a new gold standard in anti-aging, it offers a revolutionary approach to this aspect of skincare.

How does A-F33 work?

Unlike other leading anti-aging ingredients, it's designed to intercept collagen blocking and help release untapped collagen which can spark collagen production in just 72 hours resulting to the faded look of deep wrinkles in a matter of one week. Clinical studies show a 100% improvement in fine wrinkles after 2 weeks and 33% improvement in deep wrinkles after 11 weeks.

It works so well that there's a lot of talk behind it replacing cosmetic surgery.

And it's not all hype, advertising and online propaganda. Over 60,000 people in the UK alone are on the waiting list for this. Which doesn't surprise me since it's not everyday you come across a product like this that works extrmely well yet costs less than half the price of most leading skincare products dedicated to the same result.

You know what they say, there's truth in numbers.

Aside from that, Anew has also garnered numerous high praises from top beauty editors all over the world:

Allure

Marie Claire

Huffington Post

Cosmopolitan

Daily Mail

Ruffa Guitierez was chosen by Avon Philippines as the local brand ambassador/image model for Anew Pro Line Corrector, she has been using it for quite some time now and I think she is absolutely glowing. And not just in this photo but in other recent ones too.

Blogger perk? I get to be one of the first few to try it out :D

And since I don't really have deep wrinkles yet, just fine ones (thank god), they're supposed to diminish considerably after 2 weeks. I'm really excited to add this to my daily beauty regimen. Will let you know after 14 days.

Or better yet, why not try it out for yourself???

Anew Clinical  Pro Line  Corrector is set for release in the Philippines on March 1, 2013 but if you visit www.onlyfromavon.com.ph  ,you can sign up for a free VIP trial! So whatchu waiting for? Go sign up and get first dibs on this awesome new product from Avon.

truth in numbers - avon anew
