Did Cole Haan play a big role in your life growing up? All 90s kids reading this will agree that Cole Haan was the preppy shoe dujour for our generation. Their penny loafers was a must-have school shoe paired with scrunchy white socks usually from St. Michael's (that's what Marks & Spencer was called then) for girls or white athletic socks for men ala Michael Jackson. On the weekends, most of us would have a second ox-blood pair.

Although I don't agree with our super sartorial, white socks/black shoes combination, I must say that we are a generation of impeccable taste when it comes to footwear.

Quality and fine craftsmanship were highly appreciated back then and I would give my left kidney just to have my ox blood Cole Haan penny loafers back.

It is this close affinity to the shoe which Cole Haan celebrated yesterday called "The Grand Life".

Living the Grand Life isn't just all about luxury but about living life to the fullest, squeezing it for all it's got and creating worthwhile memories along the way. The event was inspired by Lunargrand fans who have been posting photos of themselves on Instagram wearing the shoes during eventful occasions in their lives such as landing their dream jobs and getting married.

In line with this, Cole Haan Philippines invited 5 highly successful and creative guest speakers who have lived enviable lives in Cole Haan shoes: Robert Alejandro, AJ Dimarucot, Tom Epperson, Jake Versoza, and Roy Macam to represent Cole Haan's diverse fan base and to present the new Lunargrands for Spring 2014:

There were so many gorgeous styles to choose from in all shapes and colors: loafers, oxfords, boots, brindles (etc) but my favorite of them all was this silver pair that I SUPER WISHED  they had in ladies size. Sadly, their smallest is a size 7.5 mens. :(

Heartache didn't last very long...I managed to snag this pair after a few minutes:

The perfect leopard pump and the perfect black pump have been somewhat elusive towards me. I have been searching for years to find something perfect that is more affordable than a Louboutin. Ironically enough, I found both this month. First, was this pair of black pumps from Frontrow Shop (see here) and now this perfect leopard pump from Cole Haan which was made even more perfect by not just being a pretty pump but being the sexiest Nike Air hybrid I've seen to date. Hellooooo comfort!
