If you haven't yet heard about Shinagawa Lasik and Aesthetics Clinic, I'm not surprised but I'm also pretty sure that the grapevine will eventually get to you sooner or later since that's always the way it usually goes when it comes to things that are too good to be kept secret.
The reason behind their elusiveness is their desire to stay pure and true to their craft while maintaining reasonable price points for their clients. Instead of spending a fortune on advertising, they prefer to invest in quality machines and rely mostly on positive word of mouth from their long list of satisfied customers to spread the word.
Despite this unconventional marketing move, Shinagawa remains to be one of the most successful clinics in Japan with over 3 million patients served since 1988.
The Makati clinic is their first major business operation outside Japan and it is quite impressive:
It's spacious, calming and spotless plus the staff are friendly and well-trained.
It's also hard not to notice how flawless their skin is. During my visit, I was greeted by their Marketing Manager and I could not help but ask her if she had anything on because in person, her skin looked extremely radiant, even and pore-less. Turns out, she only had their Celesty BB Cream on. I was impressed. I thought she was in her twenties and I was surprised to find out that we're actually the same age (34) except that she has 3 kids already.
During my visit, I was supposed to try some of their laser treatments and the " 3D Angel Lift", but since I am scheduled to go to the beach tomorrow and have had previous treatments in the past couple of weeks, I had to put it off for the end of the month. Sun exposure is highly discouraged after getting a treatment so I decided to sample their skin care line instead which is called "Celesty" and "Derma Celesty".
Celesty and Derma Celesty are 100% made in Japan using premium ingredients. However, unlike their other Japanese-made skin care counterparts found in luxury malls which can go as high as 10k for a tube of moisturizer, Celesty's products are priced quite reasonably with a range of 1k-3k.
Celesty Flora is a whitening line while Derma Celesty specializes more on anti-aging.
Because I was really intrigued by the BB Cream, it was one of the first products I decided to sample.
The cream is quite thick and is a bit difficult to blend on its own so its highly suggested to apply a moisturizer first to help it glide on smoothly. The extra effort wasn't so much an issue for me because that's what I usually do anyway with any product.
And besides, the results are worth the trouble.
DermaCelesty BB Cream feels light and breathable on the skin, you almost forget its there and yet it provides 100% coverage. It adapts to the natural color of your skin for a totally flawless look:
I'm not sure if you can tell the difference with the photo above (because stupid me forgot to shoot another one for comparison :P) but it looks really nice in person. NO NEED for concealer!
Here's another shot I took with just the BB cream on and nothing else:
It really does wonders for evening out your skin tone and disguising blemishes.
Another product that made quite an impression on me is their Celesty Glow Whitening Peeling Gel. Apply on dry skin, rub and watch it get rid of your dead skin cells instantly:
You will notice that your skin turns smoother, fairer, brighter and with less visible pores instantly after a single application. Best of all, it can be used on all parts of the body!
Nice huh? ;)
