ootd: dressing down the lbd

Monday, September 1, 2014

Everyone talks about what an essential is it for every woman to own at least one LBD in their closet. I couldn't agree more. They are the easiest thing to put on when you don't know what else to wear...think PMS days when we all feel bloated and nothing seems to look right.

An LBD will always look good and you can wear it anywhere (not just to dinners or cocktail events). The right dress won't look out of place in the mall or while doing regular errands as long as you pick the right accessories to dress it down.

And that's exactly what I did with this little black dress from Clotle.

Taking my cue from NormCore (yay, my favorite trend for being super comfy!), I decided to pair my LBD with some slides from Adidas and a military-inspired vest from Sm Ladies Fashion. Wearing it this way allows me to go gallivanting anywhere, while taking full advantage of a perfect balance between blending in and not standing out too much...just enough. :P

If you want to go the more dainty route, pair with ballet flats.

My favorites would have to be pairing it with Chuck Taylors or Birkenstocks. Tie a hoodie around your waist or pair with a denim jacket for added cuteness. hahaha :P

You're welcome :) I started noticing an added brightness in my complexion after a week of taking it regularly. I hope the same goes for you :)

Whoa! Sounds interesting. I think I also need to take it in preparation for my big day next year. Is that supposed to be taken with vitamin C?
