ootd: wedding in singapore

Sunday, November 16, 2014

I wasn't just in Singapore a few days ago for a holiday. I was actually there to attend my cousin's wedding. They had it at the Fullerton Bay Hotel and I have to say, it was one of the prettiest places I have ever visited in my entire life.

The place looks like an updated yacht club and it is set against the bay with views of the Marina Bay Sands Hotel. You can even charter a boat for tour along the bay/river (whatever that body of water is :P). It's a great way to see different sites of the city like the Merlion and mabny other tourist attractions situated along the water's edge.

Anyway, back to the wedding. The theme was summer. I don't really like buying expensive dresses for a one-time only occasion so I decided to just recycle this outfit that I wore for another friend's wedding a few month's ago:

I wasn't as made up this time around because I needed to get ready by myself in the hotel and I also don't like to travel with a lot of cosmetics so I just blow-dried my hair (I prefer the curls though :/) and applied some light make-up.

I thought I wouldn't be able to document this outfit for you guys again just like the first time I wore it but luckily, I met the official wedding photographer outside and she agreed to take a couple of snaps for me. (Yay!)

What I love most about this ensemble is how practical and wearable it is. I can match the top with jeans or a pencil skirt for a casual day out and dinner. The skirt I can even wear to the mall as long as I dress it down with a simple tank top and flat sandals. Nothing goes to waste. Just the way I like it :)

Will share more photos of the Fullerton Bay Hotel, it's surrounding areas and a food review in my next post so I hope you can check that out too. :)
