Bye Bye Blackheads! - An iWhite Review

I have been seeing iWhite products around for quite some time but because of my sensitive skin, I was a bit wary of trying it and didn't really pay too much attention to them. Until July 9 came along and I was fortunate enough to be one of the bloggers invited by Biocostech Philippines Corporation, the sole distributor of iWhite Korea, to try out their various products.
During this event, I learned an important lesson. When it comes to skin care and beauty products, always read the label. Never judge a product by its packaging. Initially, I thought iWhite was one of those new brands that jumped on the whitening bandwagon loaded with harsh chemicals to whiten the skin. Boy, was I proved wrong.

First of all, iWhite isn't new. They've been around since 1997 and have managed to survive all those years without aggressive advertising through a loyal cult following.

Second, iWhite uses a mixture of natural ingredients to effectively produce high quality facial care products. Listed among its active ingredients are:
  • Mulberry Root Extract - which has a natural lightening agent that inhibits the production of melanin. It helps eliminate pigmentation for a fairer and more radiant skin.
  • Panax Ginseng Root Extract - used for its therapeutic properties. It has potent anti-oxidant properties to help treat wrinkles and age spots.
  • Aloe Vera Leaf Extract - is used to protect the skin from harmful toxins. It is known for its moisturizing properties making the skin smooth and supple.
  • Titanium Dioxide - provides protection from the sun's harmful UV rays.
  • Grean Tea Leaf Extract - a natural anti-oxidant that provides protection for your skin from free radicals.
  • Vitamins A,C,E - protect skin from cellular damage and premature aging.
  • Vitamin B5 - it is for elasticity and firmness of the skin.
Awesome right? Another misconception of mine was that whitening products are used to lighten your skin tone and make you look more like our Caucasian cousins. This still holds true but whitening products are also effective in eliminating age spots and pigmentation which we all truly despise.
What I love about iWhite is that apart from the tubes, they also sell their products in affordable sachets. So you don't have to blow your money on a tube to decide wether the product agrees with your skin or not. You can try it out first then later buy the bigger tube if you like it. Trust me though, you will.

Last night, I decided to give my man a little pampering session using iWhite's Nose Pack. I have heard a lot of rave reviews about this product so I was dying to try it out. It promises to be the ultimate blackheads and whiteheads remover. We'll see...
First, get your man to relax with an appropriate dick flick like Scarface:
Second, give his face a good old scrubbing with iWhite's moisturizing facial wash...
I noticed that D's skin was immediately stripped off all excess oils and looking instantly radiant and brighter right after.
Next apply, iWhite's Nose Pack evenly all over his face:
The Nose Pack has a thick consistency similar to acrylic paint...
Leave on for 15 minutes while your man (in my case,"The Crow") relaxes while watching Al Pacino blow the brains out of everyone on screen. After 15 minutes of blood and guts, gently remove the mask by slowly peeling it away from the face starting at the chin area. You will be surprised by what I found on the discarded mask:

Utterly disgusting and amazing at the same time! See all those tiny little black dots? They used to live on D's face :P Ew! Now, they've transferred to the mask leaving him with the clearest skin I've ever seen him in since we've met. He liked it too which is amazing for a man to admit. They're usually too macho for that but we were both just really amazed at the job iWhite was able to do for his impurities. Needless to say, I'm putting that mask on my face tonight!

Some other things I like about iWhite:
  • The scent. It's lightly scented and it really smells good.
  • The price. It's very affordable. Only P169 (more or less) for a tube.
  • You can find it anywhere. Watson's, Mercury, grocery, etc.
Will I buy this again? Yes, definitely. And so should you.
