If there is such a thing as a perfect boot, I believe I've finally found it! Got this pair a few weeks ago from Denise of Shoe Etiquette who happens to be a pioneer blogger in the Philippines as well. She's a fellow mom blogger who blogs over at http://denisekatipunera.blogspot.com/ Check it out for heartwarming stories, inspiration and DIYs. :)
Anyway, back to my boots! I have been searching for something like this for quite some time but it's either too expensive, too pointed, or they get the heel wrong. This one though, like I said, is perfect! The color goes with everything and because it is nude, it blends in with the skin and doesn't make your legs look short the way most other ankle boots do, the dip cut in front also helps create the perfet silhouette.
I have always been a boot girl and I have been wearing these with the same intensity as I did the Lita's when I first got them. Remember those times when they were all that I would wear? :)) Well, I have already accumulated quite a bit of photos so expect to see them a lot in my coming posts. :P What I love most other than their perfection? They're comfortable and affordable. Sorry, you know me, I get quite emotional when it comes to footwear.
Moving on to the outfit...as a blogger, I think I have a personal responsibility to try to impart a positive example to my readers and one of them is that you don't have to spend a lot to look good up-to-date and presentable. In this post, most of what I'm wearing is either old, altered or DIY'ed. The kimono and the top are DIYs, shorts are my mom's old pants which I salvaged and cut up, bag is an old favorite from Accessorize. My elephant necklace and cross were a gift from my mom a long time ago, I just changed the chain on the elephant so it would land lower on my chest and the tusk is something I picked up at Forever21 last year.
A popular misconception that a lot of people have is that you need a lot of money or sponsorships to run a fashion blog. I beg to differ. Being a mom, there are times when I have other responsibilities that are more important than a shopping trip to the mall so I have to make do with what I have by repurposing a lot of old things or just making my own. I hope I inspire you to do the same. Feel free to tweet or email me anytime when you have questions/ suggestions/help on DIYs or fashion. I enjoy reading your letters/emails.
That's it for today! Hope you all have a nice day! :)
By the way, Maxi and Skater Skirts in Pastels are already available! Fully customisable of course! For orders or queries, you may email me at admin@fashioneggplant.com

Thank goodness I have my elder sister to finance the clothes. Haha! She's our banker in the family. I mostly do vintage hunting while she does all the real spending. LOL!
Just wondered I have some sheer fabric that I really wanted to make into a kimono style jacket, but I can't find any patterns or tutorials online. Do you know of any, or have any tips to make one?
Thanks
my bff also bought rowena boots from Ate Denise and it really looks awesome in person :)
@charlotte: thank you! you're in luck, i have been planning a diy post for a long time, i took photos while sewing this actual kimono and im planning to put up the tutorial later or tom so stay tuned. :)
Can't wait to see it.
