vintage brocade lbd
Dennis has been shooting non-stop since I bought the new camera, I have sooooo many stock photos now as compared to just a couple per outfit before. He was shooting all throughout our dinner at Premio, the whole time I was stuffing my face with yummy blinis. Too bad I don't know how to make .gif's, this would've looked hilarious. Instead, here's a collage. :P
So anyway, we have weekly Saturdate's, sometimes it's spent at bars with friends while on other occasions, we prefer to just share a nice quiet dinner between the two of us. Like I said in my Premio post before, it's the perfect place to do this. So we went back, ordered a bottle of their house white (it is REALLY good) to enjoy over delicious food.
Dennis has been planning this for aweek and on the day itself, he actually told me to "dress up nicely", which he rarely does since I'm almost always dressed for events. But since he deemed this night to be "special". I figured it was the best time to whip out this LBD (little black dress). Which, would you believe, I found in the trash?
Awhile back when my Mamita was transferring homes, she got rid of a bunch of old clothes and accessories and this dress was one of them. Originally, it was a midi, but with a whole close to the hem. The vintage fabric is gorgeous in person (they really don't make them like they used to), and I couldn't bear to see it discarded like an old banana peel so I chopped some of the length off, narrowed the body a little and did a few repairs here and there. Now it's one of my favorite dresses evah!
