taylor swift style
I would like to dedicate this post to my 7 year old daughter, Nikola, who is a huge fan of Taylor Swift and who at the same time, inspired the title for this post.
I didn't initially plan on "dressing up like Taylor Swift". Short back story on this outfit...
Remember my Paparazzi Style OOTD? I wore that outfit because it was raining quite heavily when I left the house only for the sun to shine bright and hot the minute I arrived at BGC. It got extremely humid and I couldn't stand the fabric of my jeans clinging to my legs so when Ana and Tracy excused themselves to go to the powder room, I decided to pop into Cotton On and look for something breezier to wear. Spotted this dress on the sale rack, it was at 50% off. Luckily it went perfectly well with the rest of the items I was already wearing (hat, boots, bag) so I decided to snatch it up and do a quick change in the dressing room. (Funnily enough, towards the end of the day, one by one, Pax and Ana also shopped Cotton On to change their outfits as well...it was that hot.)
Honestly didn't think I resembled Taylor Swift at all. Was thinking more on the lines of early No Doubt/Gwen Stefani or Alexa Chung...something cool like that :P It was only until I arrived home and Nikola saw me and asked why I was dressed as Taylor Swift. Not that I have anything against Taylor Swift, I just think that I'm a bit too old to be associated with anything Taylor Swift. It left me a little embarassed and unsure of wether or not I should still post this ootd...but then I thought, there's nothing wrong with being a hero to my little girl.
So here's me "dressed like Taylor Swift" :P
