ootd: bundle of joy
So I have something to tell you guys...
But it's not what you think. Hehe. For the first time in ages, my blog post title makes me feel so witty. It's funny how the juxtaposition of certain words can create such strong contrasting statements.
I am not pregnant but bundling up in layers really makes me happy.
I like hiding underneath piles of clothing which poses a big problem considering I live in a tropical country. I'm not much for showing skin but the warm climate makes it quite challenging to pull of these kinds of outfits. I need to get crafty with my choices so I don't end up looking like a total idiot who faints from heatstroke due to poor fashion choices. :P
Thankfully, the weather has been slightly kindler lately with the onset of the ber months which allows me to experiment more with my outfits and layer!
I was able to snag a couple of these lightweight oversized sweaters from Zara for only P599 (such a steal)! I layered it with a tank top and my favorite (air-cool :P) boyfriend jeans from Topshop and left the house for the Morellato event (see here), while killing time, I decided to window shop at Stradivarius and then I saw this gray coat which is really just a long blazer which makes it totally wearable in Manila weather. I fit it and it looked so good with my outfit that I had to buy it. It's not everyday you come across a nice gray coat and I have been looking for one for quite awhile. I think gray looks really clean and posh + its lack of color makes it go with almost anything.
But I was still a bit iffy because I thought it resembled a doctor's coat so I consulted with my friend who works for a magazine and recently attended Seoul Fashion Week. Apparently, doctor's coats are a big thing right now in Korea so here. Low EQ again. :P
